Ashley & Angel's Mystic Quarry Wedding

Lush greenery, so much laughter, and the most kick ass DIY floral ever, what more could a girl ask for on a wedding day?

For the skies to clear up on my drive down to the venue when I was convinced we would be shooting everything inside the cabins at Mystic Quarry Resort! For real though, the skies were crazy dark on my way down to Canyon Lake(thanks, Texas, for the insane weather changes!) and RIGHT before we pulled into the venue the skies cleared to give us the most amazing day ever. It had definitely been raining beforehand, which honestly is the absolute best for photos - that layer of fresh dew on the leaves makes the greens AMAZING.

I was also totally smitten with the decor. If you look closely, you’ll see that all of the bouquets, boutonnieres, and even the altar are floral made entirely out of felt!! Y’all, Ashley made all of this herself. I was geeking hard at her skill, and wish I was half as talented at making things in 3D space as she is(I was always the worst at sculpture class in college!).
