A Beautifully Emotional Wedding at Hays Hollow

Melissa & Brendan were a couple who’s emotional connection I could tell from the moment I saw them together, and wow did it intensify during the ceremony watching how much he cried! I LOVE seeing grooms get emotional during the wedding day, gah.

I didn’t get the pleasure of meeting him until the wedding day, sine Brendan is in the Army and was deployed when Melissa was making all of the wedding planning decisions. We met up for coffee and she voiced to me that they were apprehensive on photos of themselves due to a negative experience with their engagement photos feeling stiff and “posey”. But I quickly assured her that there was absolutely no worries of that happening with me! I hate doing hyper posed photos, and am always much more of a lover of the candid, silly, and comfortable to who you are shots.

We had met up before Covid hit Texas, and so needless to say they had to make some changes before the wedding day, but they handled it so well and I could tell all of their guests were totally comfortable, and it helps that Hays Hollow at Remys Ridge is such a big amazing venue, there was plenty of room on the dance floor with space between!

And boy, did these guests kill it on the dance floor. Brendan and all of his groomsmen had some of the best damn moves I have ever seen from a bridal party - I am convinced they got special stretchy suit pants to accommodate all the squatting they were doing!

Oh! AND they had beer burros, so, you know, I geeked out as usual for any animal.

p.s you should absolutely swipe through this gallery through the ceremony - Brendan started to go in for the kiss before they had even exchanged rings!! He was just so dang excited, it was such an adorable and perfect moment.
